A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) run by the Oxford School of Hospitality Management and Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has been ranked as 'outstanding' on the basis of independent review.
The project forms part of a growing body of collaborative work which is shaping the nature of IHG's risk management practice, worldwide, and informing the curricula for students at Brookes. Catia Guimaraes, an alumnus of the School and now IHG's Business Continuity Risk Manager, has played a central role in the project's success. The quality of her contribution was previously acknowledged by the award of Business Leader of Tomorrow, presented by Secretary of State for Business, Vince Cable MP.
Dr Alex Paraskevas, who leads the School's work in this area, commented, "The ranking of the KTP is testament to the skills of those in our team and the commitment of our colleagues in IHG. It is incredibly rewarding to work with a company that values new knowledge and that supports the efforts of talented young researchers".
