Research Opportunities
The Oxford School of Hospitality Management is recognised as a centre of excellence for research in international hospitality and tourism. In 2011, a survey in the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research ranked the school as number one in Europe for hospitality research, and top in the world for research productivity.
Research degrees provide a foundation for successful academic careers and are appropriate for those who require depth of expertise in focused areas to support career progression. The school has a strong, collaborative and creative research culture. Students benefit from regular research seminars, residential writing retreats and overseas workshops dedicated to those on the doctoral programme. They can also take advantage of the school's outstanding relationships with industry, worldwide, not least for gaining access to organisations for research purposes.
